Just a quick update.

Just a couple of weeks ago we shared about Doc’s efforts during the New York Cholera outbreak of 1854 while we now are dealing with the current COVID-19 epidemic. Doc and today’s first responders and those on the front lines put themselves at risk for the rest of us.

Well, during this crisis, it seems that the rate of website hacking has increased dramatically. While dealing with the war on COVID-19, we’ve also had to fight a small battle here at Doc Adams Base Ball. We experienced a hack that caused our Google results website links to be redirected to a pharmaceutical site. After being notified of the breach (thanks Colin), we scrambled to clean the site, harden it with new security tools and measures, and added SSL/HTTPS. Of course, the redirection of our traffic has lowered us in the Google search rankings, so we are working to build those back up.

So, if anyone was searching for Doc Adams Base Ball through Google and had trouble finding us, our sincere apologies! All issues have been resolved and you should have no trouble finding our website.

Finally, let us take this opportunity to send out our admiration and appreciation for all those first responders and everyone else out there on the front lines fighting this terrible war with COVID-19.
