Our petition to recognize Daniel Lucius “Doc” Adams’s role as a founding father of our National Pastime has garnered 2,072 signatures! Marjorie Adams set a lofty goal for petition signatures! Just wanted to provide a quick update on our petition. We’ve received support from 1,981 folks to date. We’ll continue to drive this for the next two weeks to see how close we can get to Marjorie Adams’s goal. The petition to show support for Doc Adams National Baseball Hall of Fame induction recently reached 1,351. It’s interesting to look at the distribution of the locations of the supporters. A great number of the supporters are from New York and Connecticut, however, there are several other states that are showing solid support including Doc’s birth state of New Hampshire and New Jersey, the home of Elysian Fields. Just recently, our petition to recognize Daniel Lucius “Doc” Adams’s role as a founding father of our National Pastime exceeded 1,000 signatures. The recognition being sought is his enshrinement in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The show of support via the petition demonstrates that we are successfully telling Doc Adams story.
