”The Knickerbocker Experience”, offers an opportunity to “experience” the game as it was originally played.  “Rules aren’t bent” or “exceptions made” to make it work.  The intent is to provide a historically accurate game of base ball by playing the game as it was played in 1858, 1864 or 1865.  The goal is to provide people with a chance to try playing it or watching it, unrestricted by “variations or customs” – just pure base ball.as it was meant to be. The Knickerbocker Experience’s had a successful inaugural season in 2022 and they are looking to follow it up with another exciting season for ballists and cranks alike.

Tentative Schedule for 2023 (based on where the current Knickerbockers are planning/recruiting to stage an [1858-1865])

July 15-16: 2023 Gettysburg 19th Century Base Ball Festival – Schroeder Farm, Gettysburg, PA

August 5-6: 26th Annual Doc Adams Old Time Base Ball Festival @ Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Old Bethpage, NY

August 19: Inaugural Keystone BBC Founders’ Day (Special Event to honor early baseball pioneer) @ Location TBD, Columbia, PA

August 19-20: 2023 Rocky Point Historic Base Ball Festival @ Rocky Point State Park, Warwick, RI

September 16: Inaugural Doc Adams Memorial Classic @ Location TBD, New Haven, CT

September 30-October 1: 2nd Annual Cowtown Scramble @ Creamery Field Vintage Baseball Park, Bovina, NY
