The 2021 Annual Doc Adams Old Time Base Ball  Festival will take place next weekend, July 31 – August 1, at Old Bethpage Village Restoration. In 2015, this longest running annual vintage base ball festival was renamed in honor of Daniel Lucius ‘Doc’ Adams. The festival is a must for baseball fans, history buffs, and anyone looking for a a day of outdoor fun.

Nancy Adams Downey, a great-granddaughter of Doc Adams, will be on-hand on Saturday.

Last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year’s installment looks to to be a return to form and is expected to be another special occasion. If you are in the area, come on down and step back in time and watch how base ball was played in its infancy. Don’t miss it, it’s fun for the whole family.
